According to epidemiological data updated this Wednesday by the Department of Health , the number of hospitalized patients and ucis decrease . As for the former there are 1,552 (33 less than yesterday), of which 481 are in ucis (compared to 502 on Tuesday).

Although all epidemic indicators continue to improve, they do so slowly, according to epidemiologists due to the spread of the British variant, more contagious, although the speed of spread (Rt) remains at 0.92 , that is, every 100 infected infects on average 92 people.

There are six regions that are below the 100 EPG threshold: Priorat (0), where the virus has disappeared and has no new infections, Montsià (31), Ribera d’Ebre (39), Tarragonès (59 ), Garrigues (76) and Baix Ebre (89), which present a moderate risk.
Barcelonès, the most densely populated region, has a re-outbreak risk of 200, four points less than yesterday, and the rate of spread of the virus has dropped to 0.91, one hundredth less than yesterday.
Regarding the municipalities, those with a higher risk of regrowth are: Canovelles (911), Vic (525), Olot (518), Mollerussa (508), Sant Adirà de Besòs (447), Sant Vicenç dels Horts (440 ) and Manlleu (437).
A dozen cities with more than 20,000 inhabitants are below the threshold of 100 EPG points, which indicates high risk, and only two of them, Salou (15) and Vila-seca (27), are below 30 -risk low-.
The city of Barcelona today has a regrowth risk of 187, four points less than yesterday, and the speed of spread is 0.90, one hundredth less than the day before.
